And launching an Apps Award has brought a fresh wave of innovative companies into the awards. Public transport was for a long while considered quite a conservative, risk averse industry but these award winners really underline that this is no longer the case.”
The SmartTransit Innovation Awards for 2016 have sent a high benchmark for future innovation and has allowed both new and established businesses in the industry to showcase the ideas and solutions. This year’s new entry also proved the fast growing innovation for passenger ticketing apps and customer rail information.
