This week is Rail Safety Week in the UK, an industry-led initiative that attempts to promote, address and deliver rail safety to the masses. It achieves this by forming partnerships with companies working in the industry and by hosting health and safety conferences, site briefs and school safety-based events across the UK.
One person who clearly hasn’t been reached by the safety drive is this ‘passenger’ in Perth, Australia, who for reasons not yet known decided to make his journey on the back of a train that was travelling at 70mph. Holding onto the windscreen wiper to prevent falling onto the tracks, the man’s antics were caught by Chantelle Stone, the eagle-eyed car passenger who captured the fottage while travelling on the road opposite. Reportedly, the man was arrested shortly after the station arrived at its destination.
